Just an hours drive from the centre of Marrakesh is the Agafay Desert and it’s the perfect place for some adventure activities from camel rides to racing around on a quad bike or an all terrain buggy.

The Agafay Desert is not like the Western Sahara desert (which is 8-9 hours drive from Marrakesh) as it is more rock and stones than sand dunes but it is still impressive and a great experience and being so accessible from the city is a perfect way to spend a few hours or a day in a unique environment.

Operators will also provide a pick up and drop off from your hotel or Riad but if you are driving out there yourself be mindful the road into the desert is not well paved, if at all.
